Natural bodybuilding is not easy, unless of course you are a genetic freak (very few of us are). In order to get a great looking physique naturally (without the help of dangerous drugs like steroids or growth hormones) you will have to work hard, VERY hard.

It doesn´t matter if you work out at a gym or at home, you will need a good workout routine to be successful. It should be intense and work all major muscle groups about once or twice a week. Doing more than that will lead to overtraining, which will greatly affect your results. You could ask someone at your local gym for a sample plan, or you can just download one from the internet.

Just as important as your workout plan, if not more so, will be your diet. You will have to eat plenty of protein, which is the main building block of muscle. Without protein you will not get big. If you find it hard to get enough from normal food (which is preferred) you can always buy a protein powder. Eating lots of carbohydrates is also essential as these provide your body with energy.

In order to get muscle definition you will also have to do some cardiovascular exercises (unless you are a skinny person, in which case it may lead to muscle loss). Just do some moderate exercises for about 30 minutes a day. Things like jogging, swimming or even dancing are great.

Natural bodybuilding is not easy but with enough preparation and dedication almost anyone can get fantastic results.
